Falling in Love With Fall

Updated: Dec 19, 2022

I have fallen in love with the fall season over the years. My birthday falls in it, but that's not the reason. Having spent weeks in the hot sun. It is a breath of fresh air: to feel those cool zephyrs hitting my body. Summer is fun with beach outings and trips to the swimming pool. However, I am not a fan of sweating and trying to stay hydrated during a heat wave. My body naturally feels overheated, but it just seems excruciating in the summer. I am a makeup lover. Who loves getting dolled up? With sweat falling on my face, staying cute is nearly impossible.

I adore the fall colors orange, yellow, brown, and red. The way it looks on me brings out the melanin in my skin. The color combo is radiant. The leaves display beautiful colors. Seeing leaves on the ground is such a pretty sight. When I am walking, I hear the crunching sound of the leaves. Whether you are in the city or out in the country, outside is a perfect photo shoot opportunity. I feel cozy wearing extra layers. A pair of denim jeans, sweats, or leggings can be a fit for any occasion. (As long as the shoes and bag stand out). A sweater, boots, and a Jazzy hat are my favorite attire. Don't forget to pull out the scarf that comes in different styles and sizes. My fall accessory is a cup of latte in my right hand.

I have finally decided to jump on the pumpkin spice bandwagon this year and see what all the fuss is about. A pumpkin butter pancake with pumpkin spice from Trader Joe's caught my eye. It turned out to be oddly delicious. However, I did not stop there. Additionally, I tried pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin cookies, and muffins, all of which were delicious. Those who enjoy cinnamon and all-spice will love these products.

My family enjoyed pumpkin picking this season at one of my favorite farms, Barton Orchard, in upstate New York. The drive from the city is quite far, but there is so much to do. It is family-friendly, with plenty of activities for adults. Vendors sell seasonal food and drinks. Activities include a corn maze, animal petting, games, and your choice of picking apples, fruits, or vegetables. There was a winery onsite that had the most delicious black cherry cider. Ten minutes away: from the farm, we stopped at the store to buy some cinnamon apple cider donuts. We also bought peach salsa: and a variety of spices I plan on using for Thanksgiving.

In light of Halloween, my family and I explored a spooky attraction in Bayville, Long Island. Bayville Scream attraction was superb. It was scary among the various theme-based attractions. The only thing missing was that there needed to be more employers. Overall the experience was worthwhile for anyone Ten years old and older. It kicked off the harvest season.

I love fall because of the abundance of activities and food that can be enjoyed: during harvest time. The holidays are a deal-breaker, the surroundings are candid and fashion-forward. Family gatherings happen more often. You can relax with that extra hour of sleep in the fall. It's time to fall back and reflect on what happened this year as you prepare for the new year. Every year, the feeling remains the same. It's love at first sight. I can't resist falling in love.
